The IUC Alumni Portal connects graduates of the Inter‑University Center for Japanese Language Studies worldwide — fostering professional networks, mentorship opportunities, and lifelong learning.

1) What is IUC?

The Inter‑University Center for Japanese Language Studies (IUC) is a premier institution for advanced Japanese language education. Since its founding, IUC has provided intensive, graduate‑level training to students from universities worldwide.

Our alumni community spans decades and includes professionals in academia, business, government, arts, and technology — building bridges between Japan and the world.

3) How It Works

  1. Sign in with a secure magic link — no passwords required.
  2. Complete onboarding to set field‑level privacy preferences.
  3. Build your profile with cohort, location, professional background, and interests.
  4. Explore the directory, jobs/mentoring, and events to connect with peers.

Behind the scenes, the Portal runs on Next.js (Vercel), Supabase (Postgres + Auth with RLS), Cloudflare (DNS/WAF/edge), and a secure sync to IUC administrative systems for record accuracy.
